Margaret E. (Fettig) Piercy

Margaret E. Piercy, age 93, Logansport, passed away at 7:35 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, 2020, at WoodBridge Health Campus.

Born January 25, 1927, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Michael and Vera Smith Fettig.

Margaret was married May 27, 1946, to Samuel J. Piercy, who preceded her in death on February 9, 2001.

She retired in 1985 as manager of the Harvest House restaurant at Woolworth’s in the Logansport Mall.

Margaret was a member of All Saints Catholic Church where, for six years, she coordinated the funeral dinners at the church. She was also a member of the VFW Post 3790 auxiliary.

Surviving are sons, Michael (Chris) Piercy, Samuel “Sam” Piercy, Thomas (Patty) Piercy, all of Logansport; Scott (Kim) Piercy, Peoria, AZ Gregory (Shae) Piercy, Indianapolis; daughter, Elaine (Richard) Jones, Murfreesboro, TN;

Also surviving are nineteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by five children and a sister.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30th at All Saints Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, with Fr. Kyle Neterer officiating.

Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
