Matthew G. Patacsil

Matthew G. Patacsil, age 61, Logansport, passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning, February 8, 2022, in his residence.

Matt was born February 20, 1960, in Logansport, the son of Joseph and Joyce (Young) Patacsil. 

Matt was a beloved son, brother, uncle, friend and coworker.  A 1978 graduate of Logansport High School, Matt was employed in quality control at Logan Stampings for over forty years. 

A lifelong resident of Logansport, Matt enjoyed family gatherings, the Cubs, the Bears, fishing, ping pong, playing cards, and music.

Matt is survived by his mother, Joyce Patacsil, along with siblings, Ann (Pete) Cangany of Bellevue, WA, Mandy Bates of Indianapolis, Ted Patacsil of Logansport, and Frank (Deb) Patacsil of Logansport.  Matt is also survived by nieces and nephews, Peter (Amy) Cangany, Hannah (Johnnie) Moreno, Bridget (Shawn) Kelly, Evan (Emma) Bates, Collin (Lindsey) Bates, Jake Patacsil, Sam (Holly) Patacsil, Dom Patacsil and Sam (Terry) Starbuck.

Visitation will be held at the Kroeger Funeral Home on Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m.  Immediately following visitation, a service will be held at Kroeger Funeral Home, with Pastor Doug Thomas officiating. 

Guests are welcome to attend an Open House held in honor of Matt on Saturday, following the service at 4:00 p.m. at the home of Frank and Deb Patacsil.

Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, next to his father.
