Michael N. Spencer

Visitation is Saturday, September 23, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Kroeger Funeral Home. The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. following visitation.

Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery.

Michael Neal Spencer, 51, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, surrounded by his family. 

He was born on October 19, 1971, to Roger R. and Sandra (Frey) Spencer.  Born and raised in Logansport, Michael is a graduate of Logansport High School.  Michael was currently employed at Walmart.

Michael enjoyed collecting memorabilia, movies, games, and NASCAR (especially, Dale Earnhardt).  He was a Hunter Education Instructor and ran trap at the Izaak Walton League. 

Michael is survived by his father and stepmother, Sandy; brother, Roger “Buzz” (Deb) Spencer; sister, Dee Dee (Dennis) Settlemyre; brother, Robert Gordon; nephews, Cass (Kate) Settlemyre and Drennen (Lindsay) Settlemyre; nieces, Marla Spencer and Brooklynn Gordon; great-nephew, Finn Settlemyre; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Michael was preceded in death by his mom and stepdad, Jerry; brother, Steven Spencer; nephews, Roger R. Spencer, III and Camden Gordon; and his grandparents, John and Nellie Spencer and Neal and Marcella Frey.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Michael’s memory to the Izaak Walton League, 1046 N. State Road 17, Logansport, IN  46947.
