Nancy J. (Bailey) Smith

Nancy J. Smith, age 75, Logansport, passed away peacefully at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, April 6th, in her home, surrounded by her family.

Born September 28, 1948, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of James and Ruby Ringer Bailey.

On June 25, 1995, Nancy was married to Frank Smith, who survives.

Most recently Nancy had been employed at the Logansport Holiday Inn Express.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her children, Kim O’Neal (Karl Hall), Monticello, Tammy Bice, Logansport, Ron “Bubba” Knight, Jr. (Julie), Logansport; sisters, Patricia (Bill) Rhodes, Jeannie (Don) Toucher, Linda Barker, Teresa (John) Gustin, Nina (John) Kieras, Bess (Jeffrey) Beach.

She was known to all her grandchildren as “Gammy”. Surviving are grandchildren, Caitlyn & Zeus Flores, Carey Stevens, Ryan & Melissa Bice, Dylan Bice & Khristian, Owen & Mikenna Bice, Brooklyn Knight, Braelyn Knight; two great grandchildren, Emory Flores and Aurora Stevens; also, many nieces and nephews, and many in-laws and “out-laws”.

Preceding in death were a granddaughter, Jessica Stevens; a sister, Connie White; two brothers, Butch Bailey and Donnie Bailey.

Nancy especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were the joy of her life. Nancy truly loved life and enjoyed “making people happy”.

The family is planning a private celebration of Nancy’s life at a future date.
