Neil A. Ewing Obituary

Neil A. Ewing, age 58, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 29th, at home.

Born July 2, 1964, in Logansport, he was the son of Thomas LeRoy and Deanna Gibbs Ewing.

Neil had been employed as a driver at Shoshone Trucking Company, a job his family said he “loved”.

Everyone agreed that the best things in Neil’s life were his family and many, many friends.

But he also had a spot in his heart for other things as well, including his Harley-Davidson, women, barbeques, camping, Coors Light and music.

Surviving are his children, Nathaniel “Nate” Ewing, Zachary “Zach” Ewing, Neil Frutos, Arlene Frutos; and a granddaughter, Alexus Ewing.

Also surviving are his siblings, Theresa Gibbs, Tammy Lee, Sarah Hiatt, Thomas Ewing, Beth Howard, Bruce Ewing and Mike Ewing.

He is survived by his mother, Deanna Gibbs Ewing, and mother-in-law, Donna Parkevich.

Neil also had numerous extended family members too numerous to mention.

As the family prepared the details of Neil’s obituary, it also became clear that there were way too many close friends to mention by name. However, Britt and Michelle are among those very close friends. The family expressed how dear all of his friends were to him.

The visitation will be Saturday, May 6th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The funeral and Celebration of Neil’s Life is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Saturday, following visitation, at Kroeger Funeral Home. Pastor Jerry Gibbs will officiate. Other family members will share their remembrances of Neil.

Interment will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
