Patricia Ann 'Patt' (Coder) Dagnen

Patricia Ann ‘Patt’ Coder Dagnen, passed on to her eternal home on October 8, 2020, at 9:51 p.m.

She was born November 28, 1936 to Harry A. and Laura Mae (Haymer) Coder, both of whom preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death were her husband, Edward D. Dagnen,  sister, Jean Dagnen and an infant brother.

Patt served in Women’s Army Corp as an administrative assistant, serving as a clerk in scheduling and as a mail clerk. She also worked at Chrysler for a short period of time before being a homemaker became her full-time occupation. Patt was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the Moose Fraternity.

Patt loved to dance and would often teach her partners as they danced. She would gracefully and beautifully dance the Waltz, Tango and Ballroom style dancing. She even taught a few of her grandsons how to dance for their prom.

In earlier years, Patt would watch her grandchildren and would teach them her Grandma Patt rules and would also teach them valuable lessons of life.

Patt is survived by her daughters, Teresa Jernigan of Peru, Tina Dagnen and Herb Salaz of Peru, Denise (Dagnen) Troxell and her husband, Pastor Phillip (Doc) of Walton.

Also surviving are grandsons: Jerimiah Thoden and wife, Rebecca, Stephen Thoden and wife, Brandi, Ian Thoden and wife, Tiffanie, Jacob Thoden and wife, Kristie, Jesse Helton and wife, Stepanie, Damon Miles, Austin Schell and wife, Nicole, and Collin Redman, as well as many great grandchildren.

The visitation will be on Saturday, October 17, 2020, from 2:00-3:00 p.m., at the Peru Church of the Brethren, 134 E. 5th Street, Peru. The memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m., with Pastor Phillip Troxell, officiating.
