Obituary

Patricia L. ‘Pat’ Logan, age 97, Walton, passed away on Monday morning, August 30, 2021, in her residence.

Born in Logansport on May 20, 1924, Pat was the daughter of Paul and June Ayers Dodds.  Her mother passed away when Pat was eight days old.  Her father was then married to Della Jones.

On January 12, 1952, she was married to Dean L. Logan, who preceded her in death on October 3, 2003.

A 1943 graduate of Logansport High School, Pat was retired from Indiana Bell Telephone Company, then she was with the Southeastern School Corporation for 18 years, then Logan's Port of Travel for several years.

Pat had been a member of Shiloh Lutheran Church in Walton and was a current member of Center United Methodist Church in Young America. She was also a member of American Legion Post 218 Auxiliary, where she had assisted with weekly bingo for many years.

She was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts, Purdue Boilermakers and Indiana Hoosiers.  She loved to dance and spend time with family.

Pat’s family wishes to thank Senior Helpers and Guardian Angel Hospice for their special care.

Surviving are daughters, Lou Ann (Max) Bell, Lafayette and Miriam (Rod) Goode, Kokomo; half-sister, Gay Bergman, Portage; grandchildren, Jeremy Titus, Lyndsay Fisher, Jennifer (Jason) Burton and Holly (Daniel) Herrera; 9 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; sisters-in-law, Dina Gifford, Toni Fisher and Sue Logan; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by sister, Betty Sullivan; half-sister, Shirley Drew; and half-brother, Tom Dodds.

The visitation will be on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., at Kroeger Funeral Home, followed by the service at 3:30 p.m., also at the funeral home.  Officiating the service will be Pastor Brent Cripe and Pastor Sharon Walker, along with John Newman.

Private burial of ashes will be in the Walton I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

 Memorial contributions may be made to the Mike Robison Community Playground Fund, Walton, Shiloh Lutheran Church, or Center United Methodist Church.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
