Peter M. "Pete" Shepherd

“Pete” passed away at 12:18 a.m. July 16, 2023, in Fort Wayne Bethlehem Woods Nursing facility following a

twelve-year battle with Parkinson’s disease.  

Born in Logansport, he was a family man and provider for his wife of 42 years and two children. Pete leaves us with many dirty jokes and lots of laughs.

His ornery sense of humor kept us all busy even through his final days.  

Pete was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing, camping and mushroom hunting.

If he wasn’t outside, he was thinking about it …

A 38-year employee of Elco Industries on the south side of Logansport, he retired and thereafter moved to Fort Wayne to continue treatment for Parkinson’s.

In honor of his last wishes there will be no public service, but a celebration of life is planned for July 29, 2023, from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m., at 433 Front St., Logansport.

Kroeger Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

His wife, Shelby, daughter, Beth and son, Kyle, survive.
