Phyllis J. Rogers Obituary

Phyllis J. Rogers, age 88, West Lafayette, formerly of Logansport, passed away at 5:10 p.m. Thursday, January 1, 2026, in Franciscan Health Lafayette East. 

Born December 8, 1937, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Russell James Pugh and Susie Scott Pugh.

She was married to E. Clayton Rogers, who preceded her in death in 2010. Phyllis had also been married previously to Jerry Shoff.

Phyllis loved to travel, especially with her daughters on “girls’ trips”, and playing golf. Most important to her were her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Tammy (Ed) Wilkinson, Logansport, Dr. Vicki (Alan) Simpson, Carmel, Ricky (Jacci) Shoff, Carmel, Kimberly (David) Dye, Indianapolis, Christopher (Jaymie) Shoff, West Lafayette.

Also surviving are her grandchildren, Lisa, Scott, Josh, Lindsey, Brittany, Morgan, Harleigh, Jamison, Jacob, Jordan, Taylor, Brennan, Colby, Madison, Payton; twenty-five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Two brothers, Don Pugh and Jerry Pugh, preceded her in death.

The funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 7th, at Kroeger-Crain Funeral Home, with Rev. Bruce Vernon officiating.

Friends may visit from 1:00 o 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the funeral, also at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
