Ronald Kraud Obituary

Ronald G. Kraud, 72, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019, at IU Methodist Hospital following a short illness.

Born in Rensselaer on September 12, 1946, he was the son of the late Claude and Betty (Claus) Kraud.

Ron enjoyed following motor sports. The sounds of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway could be heard from the front porch of his home a few blocks from the third turn. He hosted many families and friends there during race weeks.

Surviving are two brothers, Gary (Maryanne) Kraud, Colorado Springs and Randy (Jan) Kraud, Otterbein; daughter, Valerie Bonitatibus, Peru; son, Scott (Dawn) Kraud, Logansport; grandchildren Stephanie (Benjamin) Crippen, Greensburgh, PA, Cameron Bailey, Peru, Isabelle Kraud and Jackson Kraud, Logansport; and great granddaughter, Maleyah Bailey, Peru.

Also surviving are his step mother, Charlotte Kraud; nieces, Misty (Steve) Hobaugh, Janae (Modie) Kraud, and Heather Cunningham; nephew, Kris Kraud; great nephew, Parker Garrett; and great niece, Kyra Kraud.

A graveside service and burial will take place on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. (CDT) at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Remington, IN, with Rev. Ken Smith officiating.
