Ronald E. Neher

Ronald E. Neher, age 84, Logansport, passed away at 3:35 a.m. Friday, October 17th, at home surrounded by his loving family and friend.

Born November 8, 1940, in Logansport, he was the son of Gerald Neher and Edith Fiedler.  

On December 7, 1962, he was married to Jane (Waters) Neher.  

Surviving are his children Daniel (Stephanie) Neher, Walton,  Dawn (John) Bartels, Missouri,  and Debra (John) Spencer (Logansport); Siblings Brenda (Missouri)  and Jerry (Michigan): Daughter- in- law Tracy McBride; 17 grandchildren and 31 great- grandchildren.  

Preceding in death were his wife, Jane, son, John Nikitaras, grandson Ryan Neher and brother, Richard Neher.  

Ronald served in the United States Army.  Ronald was a long-time member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge in Logansport, IN. 

Ron and Jane were foster parents for over 20 years. During that time, Ron and Jane cared for 73 foster children.   

Grave side Services will be held at 1 pm on November 1, 2025 at  Davis Cemetery in Burnettesville, IN.  A dinner will be held at the Walton American Legion directly following for family and friends.
