Rosella (Rosie) Williamson, 92, of Logansport, died peacefully at her nephew’s home on November 19, 2020.

Rosie was born in Boone Township, Cass County, IN on April 13, 1928 to William M. and Teresa (Lafferty) Williamson.

Rosie graduated from Twelve Mile High School in 1946.  She retired from the Cass County Farm Bureau after 30 years of service.  After her retirement, Rosie dedicated the next 30 years of her life to providing in-home care to families in the Walton & Galveston areas.  Her final years were spent in Rochester, Indiana, with her brother and nephew.

Rosie was a life-time member of St. Vincent’s and All Saints Catholic Church.  She was a caring and compassionate person and spent her life helping others, supporting numerous causes, and giving gifts to her friends and family.  She was very proud of her Irish heritage and was passionate about her family, collecting many photos and tracking the genealogy of her extended family.  Rosie was fortunate to travel to several World’s Fairs, Alaska, and Ireland to visit her relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Teresa (Tess) and William M. Williamson, her sister-in-law Janet Williamson (Rochester) her sister Patricia Davey and brother-in-law, Robert Davey (Frankfort), an infant brother, William Leo, and nephews, John Davey and Bruce Williamson.

She is survived by her brother, George Williamson (Rochester); nephews, Marc Williamson (Rochester), William Davey (San Diego), and George Davey (St. Louis); nieces, Anne McCune (Frankfort), Tere Davey Takak(Cairo, Egypt), and Diane Smith (Clawson, MI); great nephews, Matt Williamson (Rochester), Bruce Smith (Clawson), Alexander Davey (San Diego), Patrick Davey (Lafayette), Gary Davey (Chicago), and Michael (Noblesville); great nieces, Alexandra Williamson (Muncie), Lynnde Munson (Chicago), Stephanie Davey (Chicago), Patricia Jean Mays (Norwalk, OH), Adrianne & Katherine Takak (Anchorage, AK), and Anna & Marie Smith (Clawson); 12 great-great nieces & nephews, and 1 great-great-great nephew.

A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at All Saints Catholic Church, Logansport.  Father Lopez will officiate the service honoring Rosie’s life.
