Sandra "Sandy" L. Noakes

Sandra L. "Sandy" Noakes, 83, passed away at 5:35 a.m. Sunday, March 23rd, at Woodbridge Health Campus.

She was Born October 30, 1941 in Logansport, Indiana and a 1959 graduate of Logansport High School.

Sandra worked as a librarian for almost 50 years which fueled her passion for books, especially children's. She loved flower gardening, with her favorite being roses, and also knitting, quilting and needlework. All animals held a special place in her heart, in particular, JoJo her poodle. She enjoyed her time as a 4-H leader and Sunday school teacher, but above all, Sandy loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her family.

She is survived by her brother Tim and Crystal Noakes, sister Gail and Allen Schmidt. Nephews Joe and Lucinda Noakes, Bill and Erin Noakes. Nieces Carrie Robison and Kathy and Jay Woods. Great nieces and nephews Abbie, Ian, Isabelle, Gabe, Zachary, Anthony, and John.

Sandy was proceeded in death by her parents Walter and Zula Noakes and nephew Peter Noakes.

Graveside services will be in the chapel at Mt. Hope Cemetery, March 27th at 11:00 a.m., friends may gather an hour before. Kroeger-Crain Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
