Sherry Kay (Nethercutt) Gibbs

Sherry Kay Gibbs, age 74, Deer Creek, passed away at 10:22 p.m. on Monday, February 21, 2022, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East.

Born March 21, 1947, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Walter A. and Rosella M. Schmidt Nethercutt.

On April 2, 1966, in Logansport, she married Gerald E. “Gerry” Gibbs, who survives.

Sherry had been employed for 27 years at Controls, Inc.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughters, Tamara Gibbs, Deer Creek, Pamela (Michael) Kubacki, Rhode Island, Angela (Mike) Hill, Lafayette; son, Jerry Joe (Julie) Gibbs, Fishers.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Heather (Evan) Gordon, Chris (Jennifer) Gibbs, Alyssa (Tiernan) Tyra, Michael (Taylor) Hill, LeeAnn Waldrup; great grandchildren, Dante Hill, Autumn Hill, Cecelia Tyra, William Tyra, Xavier Gordon, Jaxon Gordon, Scarlett Gibbs and Sawyer Gibbs.

One brother, Fred Vester, preceded Sherry in death.

Visitation will be from, 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 25th, at Kroeger Funeral Home, with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. following visitation. Don Zalaty will officiate.

Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
