Todd Robert Walker Obituary

Todd Robert Walker, age 64, of Logansport, Indiana, left this life and moved into eternal rest on March 9, 2024, in Peru, Indiana. He was born on February 6, 1960, in Logansport, Indiana.

Todd was a true comedian who strived to bring laughter to others. He had a passion for fishing, mushroom hunting, and enjoyed long drives while trying to spot wildlife, especially deer. He loved animals and had an uncanny ability for growing house plants. He could put together and care for the most elaborate saltwater aquariums. He was artistic, and so Todd's creativity was apparent in his sketches in his and his love for adult coloring books in his later years. He enjoyed watching soccer and Andy Griffith on television and he loved ice cream, even more than most people! He was quick witted but also had a soft heart, cherished by many for his big hugs and childlike spirit; this is probably why the small children in his family and those of his friends were so drawn to him. He had an unshakeable optimism even during his battle with cancer and other ailments or circumstances that would cause most of us to be defeated and bitter.

Todd worked at Sambo's restaurant when he was younger and later went on to become a painter, eventually working with the painter's union, until a work accident forced him to retire permanently.

He will be deeply missed by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Kayla (Ryan) Luckey; cherished grandchildren, Gabriella Weaver, Easton Luckey, Isabella Walker, Isaiah Walker, Holden Luckey, Hattie Walker, Abra, and Callen Luckey; devoted brothers, Doug (Kim) Walker, Shane (Terri) Walker, Derek (Beret) Walker, Chris Walker; treasured nephews and nieces; Brent Walker, Kaara Sennert, Amber Hassett, Landon Walker, Megan Howard, Whitney Dukes, Jacob Fry, John Walker, TJ Anderson and numerous doted upon great-great-nieces and nephews. Todd will be greeted at Heaven's Gates by those loved ones that have preceded him in death including his son, Dustin Walker; granddaughter, Hadlea Luckey; father, Charles Edward Walker; mother, Patty Lou Walker; brother, Bart Walker; sister, Teresa Walker; and nephew, Brandon Walker.

Todd's expressed a desire to be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor his memory. The family extends their gratitude to the staff at Kroeger Funeral Home in Logansport for assisting with carrying out Todd's final wishes.

Since no formal services are being held, the family would like us to remember that Todd would not want us to dwell on our sadness! So, in closing here is a quote from one of his daughter's favorite books-

"But know this; the ones that love us never really leave us."-Sirius Black
