Tracy LaShone Chapman of Logansport, Indiana, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Waterford Place Health Campus, Kokomo.
She was born January 30, 1969, in Saginaw, Michigan, to James Albert and Flora Lee Chapman.
Tracy graduated from the Melvin G. Millet Learning Center in Saginaw. She moved to Logansport on December 15, 1998. She began to work for Peak Community Services and was in Special Olympics, basketball, track & field, and bowling.
She accepted Christ at a young age. She loved to make people laugh, music and her family.
Tracy leaves to cherish her memory, her father, James Albert Chapman; sister, Shantell (Calvin) Sullivan; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Chapman and Ruby Chapman; fifteen nephews and nieces, twenty-three great nephews and great nieces; four aunts, Shirley (John) Dunnaway, Betty Swims, Wanda Outland Lewis, Diann Chapman; uncle, Raymond Dunn; a host of many other relatives and friends.
Tracy was preceded in death by her mother, Flora Lee Chapman; brothers, James Mason Chapman, Joseph Terrell Chapman; niece, LaShawndria Danielle Chapman; her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 4th at Kroeger Funeral Home.
The Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, immediately following visitation.
Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
