Vincent H. Bender

Vincent H. Bender, age 81, Logansport, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 8, 2020, in his residence.

Born Wednesday, July 6, 1938, in Logansport, he was the son of George R. “Bus” and Jeanette Minneman Bender.

On May 7, 1960, at St. Joseph’s Church in Logansport, he was married to Bernadine Hombach, who survives.

Vince was retired from Matthew-Warren. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, the former Eagles Lodge and a life member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed Notre Dame football, playing golf and especially his grandchildren.

In addition he is survived by a son, Mike J. (Teresa) Bender, Logansport; daughter, Terri (William) Woodworth, Lakewood Ranch, FL; brother, JimBuck (Ruth) Bender, Logansport; sisters, Madonna Benson, Logansport, Kay Reid, Phoenix; grandchildren, Ashley (Eric) Morgan, Morgan Bender, Amy Woodworth, great grandson, Vincent Morgan; sister-in-law, Dolores Bender, Logansport; several nieces and nephews.

A brother, William H. Bender, and brother-in-law, Jerry Benson, preceded him in death.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at All Saints Catholic Church.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Kroeger Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m.

Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
