Wilma J. Hinkle, age 86, Logansport, passed away peacefully at 12:15 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 2025, at WoodBridge Health Campus.
Born October 31, 1938, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Jessie C. Hinkle and Beatrice Shideler Hinkle.
Wilma had been employed in the sheltered workshops at Woodlawn Center and Bona Vista. She was an active participant in Special Olympics and earned 84 medals, 140 ribbons and 7 trophies. Wilma especially enjoyed attending Re-Yo-Ad Camp.
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Peru.
Surviving is a sister, Betty McManus, Logansport; nephew, Cass (Sabrina) McManus; and a niece, Cheryl Alcorn.
Also surviving are great nieces, Misty (Bill) Moyer, Sarah (Levi) Putnam; great nephew, Brett McManus; great-great niece, Elaina Putnam; great-great nephews, Alexander Moyer and Cameron Moyer.
Wilma was preceded in death by an infant sister, Martha Ann Hinkle; brother-in-law, Mike McManus; niece, Lisa Rene McManus; and a nephew, Ken Alcorn.
Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 12th, at Kroeger-Crain Funeral Home.
The funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Tony Winter officiating.
Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cass County Special Olympics.
