Dear Richard & Family,
I was so sorry to learn about Eileen's passing. What a loss for your family and the community. I first knew her from the League of Women Voters and always found her to be caring person and exceptional leader. She always displayed grace under pressure no matter what the situation. Eileen was multi-tasking long before that expression became popular. She did it all: wife, mother, teacher, community volunteer and faithful church member plus a dear friend to many . You all have my deepest sympathy.

So saddened at Eileen's passing. It was a privilege to know her and to have her as a friend. I still have every beautiful birthday card she sent me. I will especially miss her at All Saints Church on Saturdays. I am sorry I could not be at the funeral home in person to extend my condolences.

Richard, Vivian, Chris, Maureen & extended family members:
Eileen was a wonderful woman who will be missed by many as she had touched so many lives. I know my Papa & Mama, Cosimo & Frances Cira will miss her dearly!
Richard, I know when you are without your twin flame, being separated seems unbearable, and I am so very sorry! Sending healing and light!
Eileen spread her knowledge, generosity, and thoughtfulness everywhere she went and she extended a helping hand to everyone!
If our task on earth is to learn, to love, to teach and become more God-like, then I know she achieved her task. I am sure Eileen is gathering her next class in the spirit world to share her adventures on earth to teach, share what she learned and will continue to help others spiritually! I am quite sure she is enrolling herself into a class to further her knowledge in the spiritual realm! What an educator! What a loving person! What a blessing!

I am devastated to have lost a good friend from my childhood. Eileen and I grew up on the Westside of Logansport and played together as children. We graduated from Logansport High School in the famous Class of 1948! Eileen was always an important organizer of our Class reunions, and she and Richard opened their home up to the class several times on the eve of our reunions for a warm, friendly night of reminiscing. My heart aches for you, Richard, as I am aware of what a devastating loss this is to you. I have never known a more devoted couple, nor two people so in love. Stay strong in your grief. I love you.

I was sorry to hear of Mrs.Copeland's passing.She was my teacher at Longfellow Elementary school. On one of my visits back to Logansport, I was lucky enough to get to talk to her at the museum. It was my first "adult" conversation with her. We talked about education today. We discussed the differences in education between then and now. She shared a few stories about me when I was in her class. It was a moment I will always treasure. May God grant her family peace and strength at this most difficult time.
