Sandy and families----sorry for your loss of your Mom. We just put Mom's ashes in the ground today at Davis Cemetery. We will keep you in our prayers. Mom and Betty are together again.

She was exactly what you'd want in a grandmother: kind, endlessly proud of her children and only grandson, and full of unconditional love. She had a flair for one-liners. She loved Days of Our Lives, pewter figurines, trashy romance novels, Bicentennial quarters, garage sales, her "bling", playing solitaire and Euchre, making chocolate pies for the holidays, tomatoes picked fresh out of her garden, and her family.
A few years ago when my wife, Angi, was interested in the genealogy of our families, we spend an afternoon asking Grandma about the Steinmans and Jordens. Her mind was still so very sharp then and not only did we enjoy hearing the stories, she enjoyed sharing them. As the conversation was winding down, Grandma smiled with joy at all the memories and said, "Ah, let's do it all again!" I love that memory.
She had a wonderful, full life. She was loved and she will be missed. I love you, Grandma.

She was a great Mother-in-law, willing to share her recipes for sugar cookies, lard pie crust & chocolate pie. There are memories of good times at garage sales, making pin cushions, crocheted angels, and quilting.
