Julia A. 'Judy' (Robbins) Carney
April 13, 2017Julia A. 'Judy' (Robbins) Carney, 94, Middletown, New York, formerly of Logansport, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at 4:50 p.m., in Valley View Rehabilitation Center in Goshen, New York.
She was born in Logansport on July 13, 1922, to Chester and Fayetta Caruthers Robbins, moving to New York in 1963.
On February 23, 1940, she was married to Chester F. Carney, Jr.,who preceded her in death on January 23, 1994.
Judy enjoyed painting, gardening, golf, and bowling. She loved being a homemaker and also enjoyed working as a secretary.
She is survived by her children, Joy Scherer, Des Moines, Iowa; Jeri Wieber and her husband Bruce, Warwick, New York; and Jack Carney and his wife, Gail, Houston, Texas.
Grandma Judy is also survived by twelve cherished grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 54 years; beloved sisters, Donna Hupp and Betty Marshall; and great grandson, Jason Wendt.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Kroeger Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Ken Smith.
Visitation is from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m., also at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
