Sheryl and all,
Your mom -- and dad -- were special people to my parents, Maurice & Eileen Shanks, my brother, Craig, and myself. They always made us feel special. After becoming adults, we were always welcome to 'crash' a cook-out on Hamilton street. When my husband and I went camping with the 2 couples, we bought a canoe but had no way to transport it. Sam graciously volunteered to put it atop their car and transport it to Logansport for us. Why my mother never had me take dance lessons from your mother, I will never know; it would have been a pleasure. We laughed that most people went on diets to lose weight but she couldn't gain weight even when she tried. I continued to send her cards even after her move to the Buckeye state. She would call saying she had given up sending cards and made calls instead. She wanted "to go play cards" with Shanksie & Eileen. They are probably having a high old time ! God blessed them with wonderful children, grands, etc. They were great role models. You and Neil Joe were blessed to have wonderful parents.

Thank you Maureen for attending my Mothers services and coming up to me. Throughout the years she often talked about your parents and all the fun they had for many years, She spoke of you often as well. She told me about 100 times about your Mother and her giving each other Perms. I will miss her very much, My father was a gem. Always helping someone. Thank you again for your kind words.

I had the privilege of helping take care of this dear woman. One of my favorite memories was doing a little dance with her at her bedside when I would help her get into bed for the evening. She was a gem. I loved her. I know she is with Jesus and I will see her again.

Thank you for your loving care of my Mother Pauline Sanders, Yes, she always wanted the caregivers to do a little dance. If you could have only seen her perform. She was quite talented. Thank you for your kind words.

My deepest condolences to Pauline's daughter and family. Some of my fondest memories from my childhood in the 1950's were the dance lessons I took from Pauline. How I wish I had been skilled enough to continue.
