Rhenda S. Acton, age 66, Logansport, passed away at 10:32 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2017, in Waterford Place Health Campus, Kokomo.

Born December 29, 1950, in Kokomo, she was the daughter of Merle and Thelma Cone Wines.

On February 14, 1996, she was married to Kent Acton, who preceded her in death on March 19, 2012.

A 1969 graduate of Kokomo High School, she retired in 2001 as a tool & die maker for Delco Electronics.

Rhenda enjoyed running, quilting and reading. She was involved in Cass County Extension Homemakers, Kokomo Roadrunners, Koh-Koh-Mah Re-enactment, Cass County Republican Women and Labor of Love.

Surviving are sons, Matt (Erin) Cottrell, Greentown and Andy (Lou) Cottrell-D’Esposito, Mound, Minn.; daughter, Liz (Mike) Whitham, Flora; brothers, Ronnie Wines, Roger Wines, and Randy Wines; sisters, Becky Smith and Rita Mugg; eight grandchildren, Kayleigh, Mitchell, Kristen, Drew, Jeremiah, Jaxxon, Robbie and Bryceton; two great-grandchildren, Corbin and Khloe; a number of nieces and nephews.

Rhenda was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob Wines and Dick Wines; and a sister, Rosie Behny.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2017, at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017, also at the funeral home, with Pastors Anthony Cozzello and Jeff Moss officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and Revolution Community Church.
