I met Ron about 12 years ago........little did I know we would have gotten to see him almost every morning Monday -Friday for years to come.....
All of us at Broadway Tobacco always new if one of us was Late to work Ron would be the first to know. He was always such a big help, Rain or shine. He got us change, Lunch, shoveled snow....really anything we needed. He always was Happy and never complained about anything. If Ron wasn't waiting at the front door we all knew something was off......Last year when he fell ill, we waited day to day to hear if he was ok. Months went by and nobody knew what happened. All of our employees would ask the other daily..."hey have u seen Ron" .....We eventually found out that he had been in e hospital and then a nursing home for 8 months. Then on this past July 4th weekend Ron walked to our shop with his life basically in his hands. I personally hugged him, told him I liked his now longer Haircut....I told him he looked Cute! He just smiled, I think I made him Blush. He spent the next two days sitting in the shop just resting and people watching. I will forever be thankful for those last two days with him....a lot had changed at our store since he was there all those mornings but I know he felt Love from all of us. I will personally miss him a lot. I know he is with God now and will be a great helper up in Heaven....RIP Ron ......
