On a 4 man installation trip with EIS to North Carolina, 2 of us took golf clubs and Shawn and another fabricator had never played golf. Shawn used a 3 wood most of the time, even to chip and putt, and probably did better than all of us. That is a memory of Shawn that I will always treasure. Tears. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Shawn McLochlin was undoubtedly one of a few people I would consider close, not as an Instructor, but a friend. He was one of the funniest, and smartest people I knew since I took his class almost two years ago. The fact he had passed away, means this world has lost one less light that had shined brightly to many people he's met. He is one person who's name, teachings and stories..I'll never forget.

Shawn and Kim were our Lamaze partners as we welcomed our first children into this world. What a wonderful experience it was to get to know Shawn. We would often get together after the kids were born. He was a very loving husband and father. I am shocked and saddened as I did not know he was ill. My sincerest sympathy to Kim and their family. I met Shawn when he was a line cook at Ponderosa back in the early 90s. We often went to Taco Bell afterwards with a few others and would spend our last dollars we made in tips. I remember cruising in his old fixed up brown truck, listening to Guns n Roses. Shawn was such a kind sweet young man and he loved everyone. Always had a big smile on his face and was a big goof ball. I've lost touch with that whole crew, but know he touched many many lives in his short life. Blessing to his wife and children. Tears for a boy who made our nights more fun at Ponderosa.

Shawn did make our lives so much fun. I must say working at Ponderosa was a great experience. We all made lots of friends and lots of memories. Shawn was in Bill and my wedding as the best man with Scott.

I knew him when we were younger; we all kind of grew up together. Those memories I will always have. My deepest, most sincere condolences to his Wife and children and my most humongous warmest hug I can give to you during this time. No matter what preparations have been set forth, the pain is there. Please remember : He has NO pain anymore, He is NO longer sick, He is in HEAVEN watching over each one of you. He will always be with you in your heart and no one can Never take those personal individual memories you have with him away. Since his diagnosis I have been told he has shown each one of you more individual love, time, and personal memories. Those are yours and yours only. You will always have him with you because of that special time. They say time heals, but when it is a loved one taken this way, sometimes it takes a little longer and that's okay. There is NO time limit on your grieving. Again my deepest and heartfelt sympathies to the family. I wish I could hug you all.

Shawn was a classmate of mine at Cass. When we moved back to Indiana when my husband retired from the military, Quintan was having a hard time fitting in. He joined football trying to bridge the gap.
