Saundre S. Williams, age 78, Logansport, passed away at 5:45 a.m., on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, in her residence.

Born on November 25, 1937, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Joseph E. and Laura G. Adair Lewellen.

On December 1, 1957, in Logansport, she was married to Gerald L. Williams, Sr., who survives, in Logansport.

A homemaker, Saundre previously was employed in private daycare. She had also been employed at Fashion Crossroads, York Apparel, Nora’s Bridal Shop, Spiegel’s Catalog Store and the Logansport State Hospital. Saundre retired from J. C. Penney Company.   

 She was a 1957 graduate of Logansport High School, and had been a member of Rebekkah Lodge, Pythian Sisters, Daughters of America, Order of Eastern Star and was a life time member of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls.

Saundre loved kids and dogs and enjoyed painting, sewing and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Also surviving, in addition to her husband, are her children, Debra S. (Tim) Pickens, Lucerne, Kathleen A. (Duane) Brubaker, Royal Center, Pamela K. (Paul) Snyder and Gerald Jr. (Billie Jean) Williams, all of Logansport.

Also surviving are ten grandchildren, Fred (Heather) Gibbs, Christina (Travis) Holcomb, Paul (Chelsea) Snyder, Jennifer Pickens (Doug Cripe), Andrew (Anjelica) Snyder, Matt Pickens (Kate Huddleston), Cody (Rachel) Williams, Josh Williams, Bradley (Aaron) Gibbs and Alicia Gibbs (Billy Benn); seventeen great and step great grandchildren, Alexys & Michelle Gibbs, Travis and Tyler Holcomb, Olivia, Emilia, Cecila and  Serenity Snyder, Willow and Colton Cripe, Jordan Gray, Caiden, Aaliyah and Brantley Gibbs, Andrew Brubaker, and Zach and Abby Brubaker; and many nieces and nephews.   

She was preceded in death by brothers, Dale C. Minter and Norman Minter; and sister, Delores Lewellen.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 11, 2016, at Kroeger Funeral Home, with the Rev. Chris Rife officiating.

The visitation will be from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Monday.

An Order of Eastern Star service will be conducted at 5:30 p.m., on Sunday, at the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County Humane Society, 700 Water Street, Logansport 46947.
